Schizophrenia and Bipolar disorder affects millions of people in America and all throughout the world. Schizophrenia may impact people’s daily lives such as work, school and their social life. Similarly Bipolar Disorder can affect people’s relationships with family members and their jobs as well as school lives. While neither of these disorders is curable they are both controlled through medicine and treatments. I will be discussing the comparison between these two conditions. I will explain the range of symptoms for both Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder. I will also explain the theories of cause and theories of treatment for these two disorders. Psychosis is when a person can’t tell what’s real and what isn’t real. â€Å"Psychosis symptoms include hallucinations, false beliefs about having special powers or identity (such as superhuman strength or X-ray vision). Psychotic symptoms indicate a severe mood episode that requires immediate medical attention and treatment.† Depression is also another symptom of the Bipolar Disorder. People that are Bipolar may suffer from getting up from out of their bed and feel hig hly unmotivated, these people suffering from this disease may also feel unworthy of being alive hence think about suicidal thoughts.
